Oakliv - The Cork Studio
Oakliv began in 2021 with a simple question:
Why isn’t cork treated as a serious design material?
We work with cork not as a substitute or a sustainability checkbox, but as a material worth studying, specifying, and building with. Our focus is on material integrity, surface quality, and long-term usability — across products, interiors, and custom applications.

Cork is a regenerative material by nature. Our role is to work within that system responsibly.
Carbon Storage During Regrowth
Cork naturally stores carbon as its bark regenerates after harvesting, when forests are managed responsibly.
Non-Extractive Harvesting
Cork is harvested without cutting trees, allowing the same source material to regenerate repeatedly over time.
Long Material Lifespan
A single cork oak can be harvested multiple times across its lifespan, enabling continuity rather than depletion.
